When designing a logo, we suggest to use the KISS principle, the letters ‘KISS’ stand for Keep it Simple, Stupid.
Famous logos like Target, Nike, Apple and Netflix are easily recognisable due to the simplicity of their design.
When Brodyn (our youngest son) came to us with plans in starting his own business, I knew straight away that we were the right people to help him realise his dream with branding.
We’ve seen a lot of logos come through our embroidery business. Some have been great and some have.. well, made me cringe – so I have a pretty good idea on what works in a logo.
Brodyn did the homework – he knew roughly what logo he wanted, we just pointed him in the right direction.
We engaged Aaron Lodder Design to create a logo by using Brodyn’s idea as inspiration. A few designs were presented. We guided Brodyn into choosing the right design that would suit all applications including embroidery and screenprinting.
A logo can look great on paper – but we need to think beyond the signage. Anything with fine details ie. lines and small dots is an absolute nightmare for embroidery (and screenprinting).
We helped him polish the logo design with colour choice and the final layout.
Within two days of starting the process we had a logo design ready to go. Two days. Now that’s impressive, if you ask me.
Embroidery may only be one method of displaying your logo – but, it is certainly worth considering it from the start, because embroidery is a fantastic, long lasting and cost efficient method in representing your business.
